My friend WJM III says that the poetry book, Partial Views: A Collection of Poetry, will appeal even to people who don’t like poetry. I think of it as a teeny tiny memoir of a much larger life. Give it a shot.
As to the fantasy novel, I can say that it’s got a very grownup thread moving through it. It’s not a little kid thing with dragons and epic battles. It really is a family drama, in a world where the language is their source of food. Plus betrayal, redemption, the true measure of what it means to be connected. Only with magic. And some fairies who prank.
