A plea for kindness
Here’s a poem from the bottom of a well. A reaching out kindness in this brutal world. There are no easy answers.
But, as I practice living inside the question, it helps to remember Anne Lamott’s words from her book, “Dusk Night Dawn,”
“. . .the point was to lean toward goodness, to resist less, to pray for our enemies. The point was to have a spiritual awakening of any sort that helped us live more often in kind awareness. I would rarely be in conformity with the divine’s huge crazy love, so I just prayed, Help me start walking in your general direction. And the greatest prayer, Help me not be such an asshole.”
Exciting news! I just started my Facebook business page for all things Tina-Lear-as-Author. It started with zero followers. How many can we get? At the top, there’s a video of me reading “Master Class,” from my book published last year, “Partial Views: A Collection of Poetry.” If you like my writing and want to support my efforts as an author—please check it out. And “follow.” You will be making a huge difference. Thank you in advance!
May you be blessed today. May the positive little things matter a hundred times more than the negative little things. :-)
